No matter customized products, logo printing on products, or customized gifts, if you have a brand, and you want to sell your products in the store or on line, here are 5 things that will help you when customized products abroad:
1. Sharing your ideal carefully.

After long time of hard work, now you finished the design artwork, and you want to go to the next step, knowing the possibility and costs of making it into a real product. Some supplier might ask you for a design artwork to check costs, but the truth is, most cases can be quote by the text product details.
We are not saying believe no one, but just make sure the necessity of showing your 100% idea with others. I mean if “CMYK printing” is enough, why would you show your whole design artwork to someone who can actually produce it?
2. Make sure the quotation includes ALL the costs that will accrued.

In this stage, the supplier is checking the costs of produce your customized products. There might be Unit price, Mold costs, Die-cut costs, Print screen cost, Shipping cost, Document cost, Handling cost, Tax…and more. Just remember to tell supplier every service you need, and ask for a quotation includes” ALL THE COSTS” that will be accrued. We don’t wish unexpected costs keep coming out, right?
For some One-time costs, like mold cost, print screen cost, die-cut cost, you can ask to quote them separately, don’t include into the unit price. This will make sure you pay one-time only, and won’t be charged again and again in your future orders.
3. Arrived? Send out? Confirmed the delivery date carefully.

Delivery date is important, not only for the marketing, but for make sure the goods always in stock. Remember to let suppliers know the date that you need the goods to “Arrived” to your warehouse, not “Send out”. Since the shipping time depends on the shipping company and we can’t control it. To avoid delay, just make sure to discuss the delivery date carefully.
4. Always check every detail.

Customized products have a lot of works to do, we wish we can cooperate with a wise supplier, who will notice every detail for us, and be our good partner. But the truth is, most people just do only what client has mentioned.
So, in the end we got to make sure every part is right by ourselves, feel free to ask the maker any question you have. Following are some points that you need to double- check before it’s too late and accrued any unexpected costs:
- Is the color correct? Pantone number? Color chart?
- Check the design artwork again before the mass printing, avoid the font or photo is missing.
- Ask samples to check product quality.
- When is the goods ready to go? Is the delivery on time?
5. Ask to examine goods before send out the goods.

This is the last very important step before factory send out the goods. Next, the boxes will be put into the container, send to harbor, or picked up by the express company. It means “there is no turning back”, they will be sent to you and you will be receiving them several days later.
Finding problems at factory and finding problems at your warehouse is a whole different level thing. Not to mention you need to find labor to examine the goods, negotiate how to send the defect goods back to factory, and how to handle the reparations. So, remember, ask a photo or video examine before deliver the goods are necessity.
